Certified CEREC® Dentist – Dr. Angela Mulrooney

Not all dentists are allowed to use CEREC® technology. In fact, a dentist must become certified to use the technology by completing an intensive study course. Under the direction of an already certified CEREC® dentist they must complete their studies, which include a two-day training course, before becoming qualified for certification themselves. Dr. Angela Mulrooney has chosen to undergo this training in order to provide high quality CEREC® technology to her patients. Dr. Mulrooney is a certified CEREC® dentist and is pleased to be able to offer this remarkable restoration technique in her Calgary office.

How does CEREC® work?

CEREC® is a durable, all-ceramic material used by your certified CEREC® dentist in their office to create beautiful restorations. CEREC® dentists craft dental bridges, dental crowns and porcelain veneers that rival laboratory restorations in functionality, fit and appearance as well as being heat and cold resistent.

While other technology my have to be completed in a lab, CEREC® dentists are able to craft their restorations in their office, sometimes in less than one hour. There is far less waiting, far less drilling and injections with the same quality outcome. CEREC® is a convenient procedure that utlizes 3D digital technology to perfectly create your restoration in less time and with less hassle.

Dr. Mulrooney will determine the best restoration for your tooth. She will prepare the tooth, take an optical impression of it using digital imagery and then use that image in the CEREC® machine to create your restoration. The CEREC® software creates a 3D image of your tooth and allows Dr. Mulrooney to custom design your restoration from that 3D model. When complete she will bond your restoration into place and you have a complete, convenient and quality restoration that will last for years.
